Example explained:

When we look in detail at the example above with average odds of 2.00 (1/1) and £1 per bet, we will see that:

  • If two of our four selections win, we will still return part of our stake (£4=36%).

(Selection 1 multiply by selection 2 multiply by £1 stake equals (=) £4 )

  • If three of our selections win, we will double our stake (£4+£4+£4+£8=£20)

(Three winning selections give us four winning bets: three doubles and a treble)

  • If all four of our selections win, we will win seven times more than we bet.

(Four winning selections give us eleven winning bets: six doubles, four trebles, and a fourfold. The bet loses if there is only one or a nonwinning selection.

Another example:

Two winning selections with average odds of 3.30 will return the stake. Three winning selections give a return of £69. All four winnings give a return of £187.

*Yankee system is used by players to minimize their losses in case some of the games are lost. Some of them select matches with odds shown in the example, others select matches with higher odds, placing Bet Builders or trying to predict that some underdog has a chance to win, correct score, etc., We'll be stuck somewhere between the two examples providing selections with various odds, depending on the games offered from the bookies. In our example, £11 Stake is just to illustrate the returns if we guess two, three or all four games correctly. We do not recommend the same stake to be used, it is up to your personal choice.
